Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and HETN ("we", "us", or "our"), operating the rentalEase platform ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

rentalEase is a cloud-based property management platform that provides tools for managing properties, tenants, lease agreements, invoicing, accounting, and reporting. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, updated, or discontinued at our discretion.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service
• One account per person; one organisation per account creation
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

• The Service offers Starter, Growth, and Pro plans with different feature limits
• Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
• Payments are collected online via Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking); plan subscriptions auto-renew each cycle
• Free Trial is its own plan: a one-time ₹1 fee for 90 days of full access — no auto-debit during the trial
• Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) bill the full plan amount from Day 1 with auto-renewal — there is no trial on paid plans
• Trial access closes automatically when the 90-day trial ends unless an active subscription is in place
• Your plan determines your access to features (max companies, units, users, and advanced modules)
• Plan changes take effect upon confirmed payment; failed renewals may pause access until payment succeeds
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice

• If you are unsatisfied with a paid plan within 7 days of purchase or renewal, you may request a full refund at patelhet.0507@gmail.com
• The one-time ₹1 Free Trial fee is a verification charge and is non-refundable
• Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method (UPI refunds typically arrive sooner than card refunds)
• You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from Admin → billing; access continues until the end of the paid period

• You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service (properties, tenants, agreements, invoices, etc.)
• We do not claim any ownership rights over your business data
• You may export your data at any time via the Backup & Restore feature
• Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Indian law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or system infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or distribute the Service without written permission
• Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Abuse rate limits or overwhelm the Service with excessive requests
• Use the Service to compete with or replicate its functionality

The Service, including its software, design, UI, documentation, and branding, is owned by HETN and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. This licence terminates when your account is deleted or these Terms are terminated.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service
• We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of financial calculations — always verify independently

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HETN, its owner, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

• You may delete your account at any time from Admin settings
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms
• We may discontinue the Service with 90 days advance notice and provide data export assistance
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You agree to attempt informal resolution before initiating formal proceedings.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
